Preventing account access

As part of unsubscribing from R‑Cloud, you must prevent R‑Cloud from accessing your account.

Preventing access to an AWS account

When you add an as a source to R‑Cloud, you assign R‑Cloud IAM roles to your account. After you stop using the solution, you must remove the roles.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console.
  2. Open the AWS CloudFormation console and in the navigation pane, choose Stacks.

  3. In the list of stacks, select CreateHycuRole and delete it. When prompted, confirm the deletion.

Note  If multiple sources are available in your data protection environment, make sure to follow these steps for each source.

Preventing access to an Azure tenant

When you add an Azure resource group as a source to R‑Cloud, you register R‑Cloud as an application in your Azure tenant. By doing this, you create the HYCU Managed Service Principal (HMSP) and assign it the custom HYCU R‑Cloud Role. As part of unsubscribing from R‑Cloud, you must remove the role assignment from the HYCU R‑Cloud application.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the Azure portal.

  2. Go to your subscription page, and then click Access control (IAM).

  3. Click the Role assignments tab, and then search for the HYCU R‑Cloud application.

  4. Select the HYCU R‑Cloud application, and then click Delete.

  5. Confirm that you want to remove the role assignment.

Preventing access to a Google Cloud account

When you subscribe to R‑Cloud, you grant it access to your . After you stop using the solution, you must remove the access permission.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Sign in & security page of the Google website, and then click Sign in.

  2. Sign in with your .

  3. Click Security.

  4. Locate the Third-party apps with account access section, and then click Manage third party access.

  5. Under Third party apps with account access, click HYCU R‑Cloud, and then click REMOVE ACCESS.

  6. Click OK to confirm that you want to remove the access permission.
