Subscribing to the service
You subscribe to R‑Cloud online from your cloud provider marketplace and HYCU then automatically activates the service for you. This is usually done by one user for an entire organization. Depending on your cloud platform, see one of the following topics:

Note If you are using the trial version of R‑Cloud, you must set up billing for your R‑Cloud subscription after the free trial ends. For instructions, see Setting up billing.
Subscribing from AWS Marketplace
Prerequisites

You must have access to an AWS account.

Your user account must have the AWSMarketplaceManageSubscriptions predefined role (
arn:aws:iam::aws:policy/AWSMarketplaceManageSubscription
) attached.

Consideration
If you violate the terms of use of R‑Cloud, HYCU may temporarily suspend the service for your subscription. Your complete data protection environment is retained for the duration of suspension, but you cannot use the service until the violation is resolved.
Procedure

Open a web browser and go to the HYCU | AWS Market webpage.

Read the solution description, and then click View purchase options.

On the Configure your contract page, check the displayed contract information, and click Create contract. If required, you can modify the contract information.

Verify the contract summary, and then click Pay now.
- Click Setup your account to complete the registration.

On the R‑Cloud sign-in webpage select Create New Subscription and click Continue.

On the New subscription page, enter the required information and click Submit.
- R‑Cloud is deployed and you are redirected to the R‑Cloud sign-in page. Additionally, an email with the sign in link and HYCU account details is sent to you.
HYCU automatically creates a user account for the HYCU Support portal for your subscription and sends you an email notification about it. You can use this account for submitting requests to HYCU Support.
Subscribing from Azure Marketplace
Prerequisites

An Azure resource group must be created in Azure. For details on Azure resource groups, see Azure documentation.
- For each subscription that you plan to use with R‑Cloud, you must have the Enterprise Administrator role assigned at the subscription level or have the permission to purchase a public offer from the marketplace. For details on permissions, see Azure documentation.

Procedure

Open a web browser, and then do one of the following:

Go to the HYCU | Azure Market webpage, and the click Get It Now.

Sign in to the Azure portal, click Marketplace, and then in the Search the Marketplace field, type
HYCU
, and then press Enter.

- From the Plan drop-down menu, select Pay-As-You-Go, and then click Subscribe.

On the Subscribe to plan page, provide the following information:

From the Subscription drop-down menu, select the Azure subscription that will be connected with R‑Cloud.
- Select the Azure resource group whose instances and buckets you plan to protect.
- Enter a name for your service.
- Click Review + Subscribe.
- Review the R‑Cloud subscription plan.
- Click Subscribe.

HYCU automatically creates a user account for the HYCU Support portal for your subscription and sends you an email notification about it. You can use this account to submit requests to HYCU Support.
Subscribing from Google Cloud Marketplace
Prerequisite
The Google Account you are using must have the necessary roles required for purchasing solutions on the Google Cloud Marketplace. For details, see Google Cloud documentation.

Procedure

Open a web browser and go to the HYCU | Marketplace - Google Cloud webpage.

Only if using Microsoft Edge. Enable pop‑ups for the
*.cloud.google.com
website. -
Read the solution description, and then click Subscribe.

On the New HYCU subscription page, in the Subscribe pane, check the displayed billing account information, take note of it, and click Subscribe.

In the Activate pane, click Register with HYCU, Inc.

On the R‑Cloud sign-in webpage, select Create New Subscription and click Continue.

On the New subscription page, enter the required information and click Submit.

R‑Cloud is deployed and you are redirected to the R‑Cloud sign-in page. Additionally, an email with the sign in link and HYCU account details is sent to you.

Setting up billing
After the R‑Cloud free trial period ends, you need to set up billing through a selected cloud marketplace provider or contact your HYCU sales representative for a license to continue to use all R‑Cloud features.

You must have the HYCU account ID of your free subscription. For details, see Viewing subscription information.

For AWS: You must have access to an AWS account and your user account must have the AWSMarketplaceManageSubscriptions predefined role

To access the billing dialog box, click Administration, and then select Billing.
Procedure

In the billing dialog box, select the cloud provider marketplace that you want to use to set up billing:

Click AWS Marketplace to use AWS Marketplace.

Click Google Cloud Marketplace to use Google Cloud Marketplace.

On your selected marketplace webpage, complete the subscription procedure:

Read the solution description, and then click View purchase options.

On the R‑Cloud sign-in webpage, select Link with Existing Subscription and click Continue.

On the Link with existing subscription page, enter your HYCU account ID and click Submit.
HYCU sets up billing for your subscription and sends you an email notification.
